December 25th, 2005

Arghhh! Its christmas! that means SEVEN more days before we go back into that place of learning and waking up early! Noooo! There goes the late night tele, the constant gaming fun and many more stuff we get to do during the holidays! Time flies and the "honeymoon" year for us is gone! I'm sooo not looking forward to secondary 4. Imagine how much the sec 4 seniors had to stay back and how many tests they are bombarded with everyday! Speaking of that, theres the headstart tests! Argh! I think im the only 1 who hasn't flipped a single page about it! Oh no, looks like its another year of stressful work and exams again, im soo not looking forward to next year..Anyway, today is christmas, all the american kids and stuff wake up early in the morning today and jump around happily with their christmas presents, while for me i celebrated yesterday on eve so today is just another boring day. Yesterday was really fun though, we had a feast to remember, my dad bought this hundred over dollar giant roast beef, my auntie roasted some chicken, my uncle brought some mee siam (dried kind), my brother made mussels and stuff. It was really fun eating and chatting. Sigh, how time flies, in a flash its over and here i am blogging thinking school. After christmas theres really nothing to look forward to this year.

December 19, 2005

4 days since i blogged, getting lazy yeah..Lazy with the projects too, wayne has done his reports bu t yet we have no pictorial case study to implement, why? The school was revamped and so was the whole kallang bahru area, that means the cracks caused by humidity indirectly will be gone and repaired MEANING we have no data to work with! Great! Sheesh, i wonder if we REALLy have to resort to putting pictures taken from somewhere else in singapore. Anyway, wanted to catch narnia, already planned, but something backfired, so its cancelled, sorta. Shan't rattle it on or i might burst into flames and become one with *cough* Oh yea, before i forgot to add, my little 1 hour kayaking in macritchie..arrived on a SUNDAY at 2pm. Whole lake's empty! Omg can u believe it? Sunday sumore. So, we just took the kayak down the lake. Wow, i didn't know kayaking is so different from dragon boating, my cousin was telling me how to paddle while im doing the paddle one side paddle another side, ended up looking like a clutz going left and right, haha. Pretty nice, paddle to the middle of the lake then look around, nice, quiet, cept for the occasional monkey cries haha. Then saw a bunch of camera crew people filming this teenage couple rowing circles on their kayaks. Had this urge to ram mine into theirs but my cousin wouldn't let me =P, sooo we just paddled around for an hour. So when the time was up, we had to get to dry land, but the camera people still on the landing area(inconsiderate!), so ended up we had to get off at the side of the lake. Sadly, my lower body fell into the water when i slipped on the mud climbing up the damn side, ended up both my slippers got stuck in mud. Had to poke my paddle around the water then it poped up, so comical. And all these bunch of china exchange students did at the side of the lake about 3 meters away was LAUGH and point at me. I mean what the hell, sit and do nothing i don't mind, but laugh and point? So anyway, to help my stuck cousin, i actually dragged the whole kayak with her up the ground, was much easier then expected. Before we actually left, i screamed something at those china people something in spanish, left them confused muahahaha. Ok since its late, i'll end here before the tyrant starts nagging. cya~
PS: Thx cherryl, i really appreciated the conversation we had ^^

The Lobby

Dad, me, Mum

Heres the lounge where you can drink coffee while admiring the sea view

Me and my little cousin

The restaurant where we have our meals

The sunset by the cabin

The Cabin

So basically i had a pretty good time eating and playing the laptop. Food's served every 2 hours at the restaurant which had a buffet, so we have about 7 meals a day. Too bad i had a sore throat so i can't really enjoy all the food = / Bad thing about this cruise? Too many smokers, they even smoke in the restaurant, argh, so inconsiderate. The ship was rather pathetic though, its entertainment only includes a KTV, a casino with barely more then 10 tables and about 20 slot machines situated in the lobby. Yeap, thats much pretty it, oh yeah, did i mention how puny the pool is? Looks more like a pond to me = /

December 06, 2005

okay, recovered quite abit from my sickness, abit better. So im going on the cruise! But, sad part is, they are STILL installing the damn internet connections, so, that means no internet connection =.=ll anyway, wish me luck, hope i don't suffer a relapse on the ship. Well, anyway, lemme lengthen the blog by writing what happened on the batam trip. The stories that is. Our tour guide once said, there was this very picky caucasian in one of his tours. Then he only drinks the "Aqua" brand water bottle, so when his room ran out of the aqua water, he called the receptionist. "hallo, this is room 381, can i have an aqua delivered to my room? Thanks." Then in batam, there are homosexual prostitutes, and something like that is pretty common, so the hotel receptionist misinterpret what the guy said and went around looking for a male prostitute. Rather sad, haha. Imagine, the shock of that tourist when the hotel receptionist appeared at his door with a male prostitute. Man, that was a really funny story. Too bad the word "aqua" isn't an official english word, well, im sure when the time comes where many picky caucasians who suffer from that kind of experience would somehow protest till they implement the word to be an official english word( esp americans, they love going on protests over the silliest things, no offence)

December 04, 2005

Arghh, feel so sick.. woke up with a sore throat but still went batam. Zzz, stupid party food, too heaty =.= the boat ride to there was 1hour long, man, the gracefulness of the boat is comparable to a pregnant oversized ballerina with concrete 10 tonne bricks tied to her legs. You can feel the occasional oscillating movement that is so extreme that you thought the boat might capsize any second. Well, reached batam in one piece (phew), was feeling pretty dizzy though. So where did we go for the 1 day tour? Tua Pek Gong temple, go there for less then 15 minutes we gotta go, wow, all i see are statues and nothing else, its downright boring. Anyway, after that we went to buy some of batam's local delicacies such as Tempeh (fermented soybeans) , and also visit the polo shop which sells polo shirts of nightmarket quality at a cheaper rate (but its not fake..well, thats what the tour guide said). Anyway, went shopping after that, and i TOTALLY regreted the trip. Whats bad about tagging along 6 grannies/aunties in shopping centres (i was FORCED to go on this trip)? They always take lotsa time choosing/picking/bargaining and end up not buying and leaving a mess, i mean, wow, poor salesgirl. After that unfortunate shopping trip, its followed by ANOTHER shopping trip, but, we're allowed to go to the massage parlour as another option. So, having a great excuse to avoid shopping, i took the massage trip. Hmm, cost bout 20 SGD per 3/2 hour there, but i just slept on one of the comfty couches they have there while my dad and other dads at the tour were getting their massages and fragrance oils and stuff. Finally, its time to go home, slept all the way in the ferry and had to go through a LOOONG queue at the customs. Note to self, NEVER take any water transports in future that lasts longer then 15 minutes, especially when many people are crowding the customs =.=

December 01 , 05

Yay watched harry potter at last, pretty ok though, its not as bad as what the others say. Sometimes i feel that the greatest failure in harry potter IV is that its plot is too confusing and fast. Like at the broomstick flying worldcup, quittage (whatever you spell it), someone's attacking and there were too many screaming and stuff, i can barely hear what the hell are they saying. All i red from the chinese subtitles were something's attacking. No sooner from that, some masked guys were walking about and no sooner from that again some guys appeared and attack potter mistakenly whereas the masked people dissappeared again. Really confusing (cause i din read the book), its like, weren't those guys out to get harry potter? How come he's unconcious for like so long no one spotted him, wierd. Anyhows, went to school to check for cracks in our school, none, there goes our case study in the project, went to the prefect's room after that watch the counsellors rehearse their prom night speeches. Man was it funny, keep running out of the room because mrs lian keeps walking back and forth. Went to movies after that then shop around with mj for her present. Was pretty funny, walked around bugis then to sunshine plaza looking at anime/japanese merchandises/figurines then walk back she picked a cat-keyholder, thought it was a wallet though haha. Well, gonna maple now, logging off.
